How Lindstrom hopes to serve as role model on hockey’s biggest stage
Cayden Lindstrom had a long road to the 2024 NHL Draft, growing up in remote Chetwynd, BC, moving to Vancouver alone at age 13, playing for the WHL’s Medicine Hat Tigers, and now hopes to serve as a role model on hockey’s biggest stage in the NHL.
With trade rumours swirling everywhere around the league, some pre-draft moves already over, uncertainty in the order players will be picked after first overall — and, of course, free agency on the horizon — the 2024 NHL Draft is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in years.
Beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 PT, catch Round 1 of the NHL Draft on Sportsnet, live from the Sphere in Las Vegas. We’ll see 32 players picked on Friday night, before Rounds 2-7 get going on Saturday.
As the first round unfolds, you can also follow along here in our live blog, which will touch on the players who are picked, analyze any trades that go down, and make sense of what it all means for the 2024-25 NHL season, and beyond.
