Your Weekly Horoscope for February 11 to 17, 2024: Diving Into Your Shadow Side
A powerful meetup between Mars and Pluto could have you confronting long-buried fears and secrets.
My latest favorite TikTok trend? The one where people go through their empty bottles of products and tell you what they’d rebuy. I may be a little camera-shy, but I’ve got a lot of opinions on beauty products worth buying, so consider this my written version of the “empties” trend.
For my first chapter of my written empties, I’m dishing on the amazing samples I was lucky enough to snag at a recent QVC beauty event. At the event, I had the opportunity to learn from a few beauty icons, such as founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills Anastasia Soare, celebrity hair stylist Chaz Dean, and celebrity makeup artist Mally Roncal. Their useful tips and expert intel weren’t the only things I left with, though—I also got a boatload of samples from QVC’s top-selling brands (think: Sunday Riley, Tarte, and Peter Thomas Roth).
Talk about a major score, especially since I live for switching up my beauty routine and testing out new products. Now that it’s been a few weeks, here are the products worth buying, in my humble opinion—aka they’re already in my cart. And PSA: If you’re in the market for even more beauty steals, QVC’s President’s Day sale is happening this weekend and everything ships free on Saturday, making now the perfect time to stock up.

Okay, okay, I know I’m boarding the Shape Tape train absurdly late, but this is seriously the best concealer I’ve ever owned. For years, I’ve looked for a concealer that *actually* hides my blemishes with no luck. Turns out, all I needed was a dot of this uber-pigmented concealer to make any marks disappear.
To all the people I teased for using all-in-one hair products, consider this my sincere apology, because this cleansing conditioner proves that sometimes, all you really need is one product to support soft, healthy hair. The WEN cleansing conditioner replaces shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, detangler, and leave-in-conditioner flawlessly, IMO. Although I received (and loved) samples of several cleansing conditioners, this indigo one stood out to me since it also tones my hair, leaving my blonde balayage looking fresh as ever.
I’ve always been curious about the hype surrounding Sunday Riley, but the price point left me hesitant to try any of its fan-favorite products. But let me tell you, this serum is a best-seller for a reason (and worth every penny).
On first use, my skepticism remained high, as it smelled deliciously citrusy and fragrance usually breaks me out. However, after just a few days of using it, my opinion did a complete 180. My skin looked noticeably more radiant and plump. Oh, and that fragrance I was smelling? It was actually citrus oil, not artificial fragrance, so no breakouts here.

Anastasia Beverly Hills has had my heart since I first got into makeup. The only eyebrow pencils I’ve ever owned have been ABH because if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. However, I had no idea how much the clear brow gel would level up my eyebrow game until I received a sample of it at the QVC event. Let’s just say it’s earned a permanent spot in my makeup bag alongside the Brow Wiz and Definer (all included in this set). Not only does the brow gel set my brow color for long-lasting coverage, but it also holds the hairs in place, leaving me looking polished all day long.
I’m typically not a fan of high-coverage foundations, as the ones I’ve tried in the past have always ended up looking cakey and feeling heavy—but this one defied all the norms. To my utter delight, not only does this foundation have an incredibly natural finish despite covering everything, but it felt weightless on my skin—more comparable to my favorite skin tints than a high-coverage foundation. Although I wouldn’t wear this daily, it’s definitely a great product to have on hand for any events that require a more glam look than my daily makeup routine.
I must confess, this is the most luxurious moisturizer I’ve ever had the pleasure of feeling. It was buttery-soft to the touch, and sunk into my skin beautifully. I was so excited to keep testing it out—that is until my mom got her hands on it.
She hit me with the double-whammy of “I gave birth to you” and “you’re only 23 and don’t need a moisturizer meant for skin crepiness,” and needless to say, I was forced to concede. She used up every last drop of the sample, and I officially know what I’m getting her for Mother’s Day (along with a few of these refills for myself, obviously).
