Penguins’ Tristan Jarry looking for reset after returning from AHL

Three goaltenders were present for the session when the Pittsburgh Penguins took to the ice for practice with Tristan Jarry back and looking for a restart to his season.

All’s well that ends well — or, at least, that’s what the San Francisco 49ers hope.

Star receiver Deebo Samuel appeared to physically attack long snapper Taybor Pepper and kicker Jake Moody after a third missed field goal during the 49ers’ 23-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

Replays showed Samuel lunging at Pepper’s neck near the sideline before hitting Moody’s helmet.

Pepper attempted to follow Samuel after the incident before being held back by Moody.

Moody, the second-year kicker, rebounded to convert a game-winning 44-yard field goal as time expired.

After the game, Samuel said he was “frustrated” and that the aggressive reaction was “out of character.”

“I’ll talk to Moody and we’ll get past it,” he told reporters in the locker room.

Pepper also didn’t seem too bothered about the incident after the game.

“He was telling him to lock in, and we know what our job is,” Pepper told reporters. “We got us. It’s hard being a specialist, sometimes it’s feast or famine. As a young developing specialist like Jake is … I don’t know how much better it gets than missing three straight and having to step up and hitting an almost 50-yard game-winner. I’m super proud of Jake.”

The win moved the 49ers to 5-4 as they look to make a run in the second half of the season.
