JOB SEARCH
Companies want to crack down on your AI-powered job search | Business Insider
This article notes some of the problems caused when job seekers overuse or misuse Artificial Intelligence in their job search. From creating resumes with false information to mass applying to using AI to answer interview questions. Recruiters are seeing more applicants requiring them to use AI to sift through the giant stack using AI. This becomes an AI vs AI battle. Employers also are taking more time to assess and interview applicants to evaluate the authenticity of their qualifications.
2024 Was the Year of the Great Divide in the Job Market | The Job Hopper
What made job search so challenging in 2024? The job market wasn’t as good as the numbers made it look. The number of new jobs created was corrected downward by 818,000 jobs. Unemployment was generally low. But digging deeper, those laid off and unemployed in 2024 were in higher paying jobs plus a growing number of long-term unemployed (those looking for over 6 months) were also in higher paying jobs. The new jobs being created were not at the appropriate level for the unemployed seeking jobs. The prediction for 2025 isn’t bright, but it isn’t worse either. See the 5 tips for job seekers in 2025.
