Canucks’ Boeser looking to make his mark during first real playoff experience

Drafted in 2015 and on the Canucks since the spring of 2017, Boeser is one of nine Vancouver players getting their first experience in genuine playoff hockey.

One of the main reasons the Toronto Maple Leafs trail the Boston Bruins in their first-round series has been special teams.

That hasn’t changed in Game 4 and Maple Leafs fans are beginning to lose patience.

After Bruins captain Brad Marchand scored a power-play goal midway through the second period, fans voiced their frustration on social media. The goal extended the Bruins’ special teams lead to 6-1 in the series and came after the Maple Leafs had failed to convert on two power plays of their own.
