Why the run of success from Blue Jays starting rotation is unsustainable
Keegan Matheson joins Jays Talk Plus to discuss how the run of success from the Blue Jays big four pitchers in the starting rotation is purely unsustainable in terms of efficiency with the number of innings they are being asked to cover.
Connor McDavid has gone back to the closet to find a spark for his team.
The Edmonton Oilers captain arrived at Game 3 on Thursday wearing an all-black suit.
McDavid wore an identical grey suit with a grey tie for the final three games of the Western Conference Final, all wins as the Oilers rallied to defeat the Dallas Stars in six games.
He then stuck with that combo for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final before changing his tie for Game 2. Both were losses to the Florida Panthers, necessitating a change as the series moved to Alberta.
“I’m excited to see what our group is made of, excited to see our group coming together,” McDavid said after Game 2. “Excited to see us fight through adversity, and looking forward to people doubting us again, with our backs against the wall.”
Will McDavid’s wardrobe change help pull his team back into this series? Tune into Game 3 on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ tonight at 8 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. MT to find out.
