The Senators have a history of going off the board to draft a player they like. That tradition hasn’t changed, it would seem, under new general manager Steve Staios.
With trade rumours swirling everywhere around the league, some pre-draft moves already over, uncertainty in the order players will be picked after first overall — and, of course, free agency on the horizon — the 2024 NHL Draft is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in years.
Beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 PT, catch Round 1 of the NHL Draft on Sportsnet, live from the Sphere in Las Vegas. We’ll see 32 players picked on Friday night, before Rounds 2-7 get going on Saturday.
